The CBS Substance Abuse Educational program focuses on the reductions in 30-90 day substance use among program participants. The Program found to be most effective in reducing substance use by offering strong behavioral life skills development content, emphasized team-building and interpersonal delivery methods, introspective learning approaches focusing on self-reflection, and provide intense consistent contact with youth.

The CBS Anger Management programs aim to decrease the intensity, frequency, and severity of anger expression, and facilitate alternative nonaggressive responses to conflict and frustration. The curriculum also include problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
